Angela Tiatia explores contemporary culture often through the lenses of history, popular and material culture, addressing themes within power structures and how these impact the individual and their communities.

Angela Tiatia’s work is held in numerous national and international public collections including Platform, Fond régional d’art contemporain, Bourgogne, France; Auckland Art Gallery, New Zealand; Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa; Art Gallery of New South Wales, Sydney; and National Gallery of Victoria, Melbourne. Tiatia was awarded the prestigious Ian Potter Moving Image Commission (2021) and is a Sidney Myer Creative Fellow (2019).
