Living and working between Switzerland and Slovakia, Taiyo Onorato and Nico Krebs have been an artist duo since they met in Zurich University of the Arts in 2003. Their diverse projects evolve around photography, sculpture, installation, film and book publishing, and have been shown at MoMa PS1 NYC, Kunsthalle Mainz, Fotomuseum Winterthur, Kunsthaus Aarau, CAC Cincinnati, Swiss Institute NY, LeBal Paris and KINDL Centre for Contemporary Art, Berlin. They have published several artist books, including Continental Drift, Edition Patrick Frey, 2017.
Onorato & Krebs received the FOAM PAUL HUF Award, Amsterdam 2013, and were shortlisted for the Deutsche Börse Photography Prize, London 2017. They have won a Swiss Design Award, two Most Beautiful Swiss Book Prizes, and a Fine Arts Award Kanton Zurich.
