Join world-renowned Australian documentary photographer Michael Coyne for an intensive and interactive workshop. Over one day you will learn what makes an extraordinary image and how it communicates a narrative, while learning how to avoid or correct mistakes that have become commonplace in this photographic genre. You’ll benefit from the opportunity to develop your technical documentary skills with a practical ‘on-the-spot’ mini-assignment under the guidance of a highly accomplished and award-winning photography master. The course is complete with an in-class critique where Coyne will spend time reviewing and assessing student images.

PHOTO Australia respectfully acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands upon which we work and live, and the rich and diverse Indigenous cultures across what is now called Australia. For over 60,000 years, Indigenous arts and culture have thrived on this sacred land, and we honour Elders and cultural leaders past and present. This was, and always will be, Aboriginal land.
