The Asia-Pacific Photobook Archive is a not-for-profit open-access physical archive of self-published and independent photobooks. The Archive is a response to the European and American focus of most international discourses around photography and photobooks, and is committed to promoting the production and dissemination of photobooks in the Asia-Pacific region. The Archive will be open to visit during PHOTO 2021’s Photobook Weekend.

The Archive was established in 2013 by Daniel Boetker Smith. It is coordinated by Daniel Boetker-Smith and Isabella Capezio

PHOTO Australia respectfully acknowledges the traditional custodians of the lands upon which we work and live, and the rich and diverse Indigenous cultures across what is now called Australia. For over 60,000 years, Indigenous arts and culture have thrived on this sacred land, and we honour Elders and cultural leaders past and present. This was, and always will be, Aboriginal land.
